FAQs
Are you open for drop in visits?
No. We are a working farm. We open for scheduled flower picking sessions, workshops and group bookings. All open farms are advertised and most require the purchase of a ticket unless otherwise stated.
Flower picking sessions opening hours?
Our flower picking session times do vary each season as the temperatures change. In summer we open earlier and finish morning picking sessions by 10am. Heat has a big impact on flowers so we like to pick nice and early in the morning or late afternoon.
Is your farm accessible by wheelchair?
No. We have a rocky/gravel road to access the flower field and our irrigation system creates an uneven surface under the paths in the field. Walking frames are ok, provided the user is relatively stable.
How far is the car park from the flower field?
Our visitor car park is about 100 m from the flower field. Access to the field is via a rocky/gravel road.
Do I need to book to come to a flower picking session?
Yes. In most cases our flower picking sessions are ticketed events. We like to keep the sessions small so that everyone has space and time to soak up the atmosphere and pick great flowers.
What should I wear to the farm?
We strongly recommend flat, closed in shoes. Farms have uneven surfaces, sometimes prickles, most of the time biting insects and infrequent visits from snakes.
Do you have bathroom facilities?
We have an eco-friendly toilet for use by visitors. It has stair access and is therefore not accessible by people unable to walk up stairs.
What do I do if I have to cancel my visit?
Just send us a message via the booking site or direct. We can look at rescheduling your visit or refunding if enough prior warning is given.
I have allergies, can I still visit?
If you know you have an allergic reaction to insects, particularly an allergy to bees, please ensure you have your necessary medication with you.
Will events still go ahead in rainy weather?
In most cases a bit of rain does not impact on flower picking. A jacket or poncho will keep you dry and you can still enjoy the flower field. If there are storms or flooding we will postpone or cancel when necessary and notify all ticket holders via our booking site.
Can I bring my dog to the farm?
We absolutely dogs! We have 4 dogs of our own on the farm. During open farms we lock our dogs up as we understand that not everyone loves a cattle dog lick to the face and paw prints on their jeans. If you have a very well-mannered dog that is calm on a lead and you would like to bring them on an outing, please call and ask first.
